Stop the Road Rage: We need safer streets

If you have been following recent news, you may have noticed news reports about a bunch of New York motor-cyclists (bikers) chasing and beating a driver and endangering his wife and daughter. Here is a short description of the incident quoted from Wikipedia:
On the afternoon of Sunday, September 29, 2013, motorist Alexian Lien was involved in a collision with cyclist Christopher Cruz on Manhattan's West Side Highway. After pulling over to the shoulder, Lien's Range Rover was surrounded by a group of 20 to 30 motorcycles (all riding with Cruz as part of an unsanctioned event) who began assaulting the vehicle, including puncturing the front passenger tire. Lien fled in his vehicle, with his wife Rosalyn and their two-year-old daughter inside, meanwhile driving over another motorcyclist, Edwin Mieses, who was stopped in front of the Range Rover. After a fifty block chase driving on his front tire rims, Lien's windows were smashed by the bikers with a helmet, who then dragged Lien out and beat him. Bikers also smashed the passenger side and rear windows in an attempt to pull out his wife and daughter before a bystander intervened.
